Natalie Brunell — Biography

Natalie Brunell is a Polish-American podcast host, Bitcoin educator, media commentator, and seasoned broadcast journalist with expertise in investigative reporting. She was born in Lodz, Poland and moved to the United States with her family at the age of five, settling in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. In her youth, Natalie pursued classical dance and took acting classes at TVI Studios in Chicago.

She attended Pepperdine University, where she double-majored in Broadcast Journalism and Italian Studies, and played a key role in establishing the Italian Studies major as one of its inaugural graduates. During her college years, she spent four semesters in Florence, Italy, where she worked for SeeTen, a bilingual production company that produced travel, arts, and cultural segments for Italian television.

After completing her degree, Natalie joined the Creative Artists Agency and later continued her education at the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. Her career included a stint as a freelance associate producer for CNN and a multimedia producer for Reuters TV. She then worked at KESQ-TV in Palm Springs, California, initially as a multimedia journalist before transitioning to investigative reporter. Following that, she became a member of KCRA-TV in Sacramento, California, where she reported on breaking news and conducted enterprise reporting.

In 2018, she served as a national correspondent for ABC NewsOne in Los Angeles. That same year, she launched the Career Stories podcast, featuring in-depth interviews with notable media figures. In 2019, she took on the role of senior correspondent and investigative journalist at Spectrum News. Natalie's exceptional work has earned her multiple accolades, including a nomination for a 'Best Investigative Series' Emmy Award in 2016 for her six-month project titled "Scandal at City Hall." Additionally, she was part of an Emmy Award-winning team at KESQ for their Breaking News Coverage. In 2019, she received second place for 'Best One-on-One Interview' at the National Press Club's National Arts and Entertainment Journalism Awards for her interview with comedian Maz Jobrani.
