Born in Madrid, Spain, on December 13, 1987, Paulita Pappel is a multifaceted creative force. Now based in Berlin, Germany, she is recognized as a filmmaker, screenwriter, and intimacy coordinator. Pappel established Lustery, a website showcasing amateur adult content, and co-founded HARDWERK, an independent German production company. Her involvement extends to her role as a curator for the Berlin Pornfilmfestival.

Pappel's upbringing in Madrid, imbued with feminist ideals, ignited an early curiosity about pornography. By 2005, seeking an environment less constrained by Spain's conservative Catholic culture, she relocated to Germany. Her academic journey led her to the Free University of Berlin, where she pursued comparative literature, completing her bachelor's degree in 2013. During her studies, Pappel embraced pro-sex queer feminism and became an active participant in Berlin's queer feminist circles. Her convictions fueled a desire to challenge societal taboos surrounding sexuality, prompting her to engage in queer feminist pornographic films as a form of political expression. She featured in notable productions such as Marit Östberg's Share (2010) and Cheryl Dunye's Mommy Is Coming (2012), as well as contributing to multiple installments of Erika Lust's XConfessions series.

From 2015 onwards, Pappel shifted her focus to producing and directing. She continues to be a significant presence within Berlin's queer feminist porn scene and is regarded as an influential figure in alternative adult cinema, advocating for sex-positive and consent-driven sexual practices. Pappel also plays an integral role as a co-organizer and manager of the Berlin Pornfilmfestival. In 2016, she launched a platform dedicated to documenting and sharing the intimate experiences of couples worldwide. In 2020, she co-established HARDWERK, a production company, and a pro-sex feminist film platform focused on gangbang-themed content.
