Puma Swede, originally from Stockholm, Sweden, has established herself across multiple locations including California and Puerto Rico throughout her career. She has appeared on thirty-four magazine covers and performed in seven hundred twenty videos before taking a brief hiatus in 2020. In June 2025, she contributed three covers and three photo spreads to FTV Milfs. Both of her parents immigrated from Finland, making her of Finnish heritage. Prior to entering the adult entertainment industry, Swede worked as a computer sales representative in her native Sweden and pursued work as a glamour model. Her early performances in the industry were limited to girl-on-girl content until she transitioned to boy-girl scenes with her 2005 debut in School of Hardcore, a production by Anti-Innocence Video, a studio where she held a previous contract. That same year, adult entertainment entrepreneur Catalina Cruz's Fantasy Girl Entertainment agreed to a two-year arrangement to promote her official website through their FantasyGirlRevenue.com affiliate network. Her work earned her recognition with a 2009 AVN Award nomination for Web Starlet of the Year and a 2009 XBiz Award nomination for Web Babe/Starlet of the Year. In February 2009, Swede became involved in a widely publicized incident when she created intimate footage with helicopter pilot David Martz during a flight. Her memoir, My Life As a Pornstar, debuted in Sweden in 2012 and was subsequently published in English in 2014 in both physical and digital formats. During 2014, she underwent breast augmentation surgery, replacing her 595cc implants with 800cc ones, increasing her cup size by one to two sizes. The 800cc implants were subject to a recall in 2019, and she had them surgically replaced in 2020 with larger implants. She acquired American citizenship and presently resides in Puerto Rico.
