Rachel Anne McAdams, born on November 17, 1978, is a talented actress from Canada. She completed her theater degree at York University in 2001 and began her career in Canadian film and television. Notable early roles include her participation in the drama Perfect Pie (2002), which earned her a Genie Award nomination, the comedy My Name Is Tanino (2002), and the acclaimed series Slings and Arrows (2003–2005), for which she won a Gemini Award. McAdams made her debut in Hollywood in 2002 with the comedy The Hot Chick. Her breakout came in 2004 with the iconic roles in Mean Girls and the romantic drama The Notebook.

In 2005, she showcased her versatility with performances in the romantic comedy Wedding Crashers, the psychological thriller Red Eye, and the ensemble comedy-drama The Family Stone.
