Rachel Nichols is an American actress and model who initiated her modeling career while studying at Columbia University in New York City during the late 1990s. In the early 2000s, she made the shift to television and film acting, securing a minor role in the romantic drama Autumn in New York (2000) and featuring in a single episode of the acclaimed series Sex and the City during its fourth season (2002). Her breakthrough came with a significant part in the comedy Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd (2003). She landed a leading role in the crime drama series The Inside (2005), although it was short-lived, lasting just one season. Nichols rose to prominence with her portrayal of Rachel Gibson in the final season of the action-packed series Alias (2005–2006) and impressed audiences with her performance in the horror film The Amityville Horror (2005). Her first leading role in a film was in the thriller P2 (2007). She also appeared in a supporting role in the coming-of-age film The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 (2008) and was featured in Star Trek (2009), the eleventh installment of the beloved science fiction franchise. Additionally, she played a key role in the action film G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (2009) and featured in the 2011 remake of Conan the Barbarian.
