RaiNao — Biography

Naomi Ramírez Rivera, professionally known as RaiNao, is a singer-songwriter hailing from Puerto Rico. Based in Santurce, San Juan, her musical creations draw from a rich palette that includes reggaeton, jazz, R&B, and alternative pop, all informed by her background in music theory and live performance. She signed with Rimas Entertainment in 2024. RaiNao's journey in music began in 2020, when she shared a reggae-inspired rendition of Víctor Manuelle's "He Tratado" on YouTube. Prior to launching her solo endeavors, she spent four years touring as a backing vocalist for fellow Puerto Rican artist Rafa Pabön, an experience that proved instrumental in conquering her stage fright and honing her vocal talents. Her debut EP, ahora A.K.A. Nao, arrived in 2022 under Sonar, Rimas Entertainment's label dedicated to independent artists. This EP showcased experimental explorations within urbano and alternative genres, featuring tracks like "Plug" and "Un Amarre." A significant boost to her profile came when Bad Bunny spotlighted her song "LUV," leading to an invitation to perform at one of his concerts during the Un Verano Sin Ti tour in San Juan, Puerto Rico. In 2023, RaiNao graced the stage at the South by Southwest music festival in Austin, Texas. She also contributed to Mora's album Estrella, lending her voice to two songs. Her inaugural album, Capicú, was released in February 2024, a fusion of reggaeton, jazz, R&B, and other styles. This album incorporated innovative elements such as live horns and intricate percussive rhythms, and included songs like "Roadhead" and "Naomi's Interlude." In the same year, she performed at Ceremonia and Baja Beach Fest, marking further significant milestones in her career. RaiNao was featured on the Bad Bunny track "Perfumito Nuevo," from his sixth album Debí Tirar Más Fotos, which was released on January 5, 2025. RaiNao rapidly gained recognition in the music landscape by skillfully blending sounds from reggaeton, R&B, and pop. Her most impactful breakthrough emerged from Bad Bunny, who initially showed his support by inviting her to perform at his Un Verano Sin Ti shows. Their collaboration deepened with the creation of the song "Perfumito Nuevo" for his album Debí Tirar Más Fotos. Following the album's release, RaiNao became part of the "No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí" residency in Puerto Rico and joined the expansive Debí Tirar Más Fotos World Tour.
