About Rashida Jones

Rashida Leah Jones is a versatile American actress, writer, producer, and director. She gained recognition for her role as Louisa Fenn on the Fox drama series Boston Public from 2000 to 2002, followed by her portrayal of Karen Filippelli on the NBC comedy series The Office, appearing from 2006 to 2009 and returning in 2011. Additionally, she played Ann Perkins on the hit NBC show Parks and Recreation from 2009 to 2015. From 2016 to 2019, she took on the lead role in the TBS comedy series Angie Tribeca. In 2020, she starred as Joya Barris in the Netflix series #blackAF. Rashida's film credits include roles in I Love You, Man (2009), The Social Network (2010), Our Idiot Brother (2011), The Muppets (2011), and Celeste and Jesse Forever (2012), which she co-wrote. She was also involved with Toy Story 4 (2019) as a co-writer for the story. Additionally, she produced the film Hot Girls Wanted (2015) and the series Hot Girls Wanted: Turned On (2017), where she directed the first episode; both projects examine the sex industry. In 2018, her documentary Quincy, which centers on her father Quincy Jones, premiered on Netflix and won the Grammy Award for Best Music Film in 2019.
