Rebecca Loos — Biography
Born in Madrid, Spain, on June 19, 1977, Rebecca Loos is a Spanish glamour model. She initially gained public attention as the personal assistant to the famed English footballer David Beckham. Her association with Beckham, and allegations of an affair with the then-married star, propelled her into the spotlight. Loos's upbringing was marked by private education; her father was a Dutch diplomat, and her mother was of English heritage. Upon returning to Madrid in 2002, she worked for an American investment bank, managing their bankers.
When David Beckham joined Real Madrid, Loos stepped in as his personal assistant during his transition to the Spanish club. This role, which she shared with SFX agent Andy Bernal, involved close professional and social interaction with Beckham. Loos has stated that she considered herself an "alternative wife" to him. During this period, Victoria Beckham frequently traveled back to the UK to pursue her music career, leaving David in Madrid for extended periods. Loos claimed this absence led to Beckham's boredom and increased their time spent together socially, culminating in an alleged four-month affair.
In April 2004, Loos sold her account of this alleged relationship to the News of the World tabloid. She detailed what she described as a whirlwind romance, including sexually suggestive text messages. This story generated significant media coverage, effectively launching Loos into the public consciousness. Shortly after the revelation, she publicly identified herself as bisexual, stating this had been her orientation since her teenage years. While living in London in 1999, she had relationships with women, including media personality Abi Titmuss and estate agent Emma Basden, with whom she had a long-term relationship. Loos has spoken openly about her sexual experiences, particularly her ability to influence heterosexual women to embrace lesbianism. Before appearing on Celebrity Love Island, she underwent breast augmentation, increasing her cup size from a 34C to a 34D.
In 2005, as a protest against American laws concerning gay marriage, Loos participated in the television program Power Lesbian UK. For this show, she "married" American fashion model Jenny Shimizu. The program aired in the USA as Power Lesbians on LOGO and focused on successful lesbians in Los Angeles. Loos and Shimizu maintained a relationship for a time thereafter. As of 2007, she was reportedly dating Matthew Ridge, host of Celebrity Treasure Island and a former New Zealand rugby league player.
In 2004, Loos briefly co-hosted the Dutch television program Shownieuws alongside Gerard Joling, a former Eurovision Song Contest singer. Her tenure on the show was cut short, partly due to her strong English accent impacting her Dutch delivery. The program did not achieve the desired ratings, and she was consequently dropped. Since then, she has posed for nude pictorials in the Dutch edition of Playboy and appeared in publications
