Roxanne Pulitzer — Biography

Roxanne Pulitzer, an American author and performer, entered the world as Roxanne Renckens in Cassadaga, New York. Her career included a notable appearance as a Playboy model in June 1985. The 1980s saw her thrust into the public spotlight during her contentious divorce proceedings with Herbert "Peter" Pulitzer. Pulitzer has penned a memoir, Prize Pulitzer: The Scandal That Rocked Palm Beach, alongside her fictional works: Facade, Twins, and The Palm Beach Story. Her personal narrative was subsequently translated to the small screen in a made-for-television film, Roxanne: The Prize Pulitzer, told through her own perspective. That same June 1985 edition of Playboy Magazine featured her on its cover and within its pages, with the seventy-thousand dollars she earned from this venture earmarked for her legal expenses related to the divorce.
