Sadaf Taherian, once a fixture in Iranian cinema and television, transitioned from acting to a modeling career after departing her homeland. Her decision to share images of herself without a hijab on social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram drew strong disapproval from Iran's Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance. This act of defiance led to her being prohibited from further acting pursuits by the same ministry. In a controversial move, her images were digitally altered to depict her wearing a hijab.
