About Samara Redway

Born on March 10, 1995, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Samara Redway also has a half-sister and a half-brother. Early in her childhood, her family relocated to a smaller home adjacent to her grandparents, a change that proved significant as she spent a considerable portion of her formative years in their company. A difficult separation occurred when her father, seemingly unwilling to embrace family life or its obligations, left his wife. This period fostered a profound and enduring connection between Samara and her mother. After her mother remarried and welcomed new siblings, Samara continued to spend much of her time with her grandparents, though her relationship with her stepfather was challenging. A subsequent divorce for her mother marked a turning point, leading to more favorable circumstances for Samara. However, the cumulative emotional toll of isolation and anxiety had left her feeling weak and emotionally depleted. Academically, Samara excelled, her strong grades securing her a place at the University of Alberta. It was during her time at Alberta that she began creating humorous videos to combat boredom. The passing of her grandmother prompted Samara's return to Vancouver and enrollment at the University of Calgary, but she found it difficult to continue. She then took a year off, traveling to Australia before returning to Vancouver with renewed vigor. On the romantic front, Samara's involvement with Andre, who encouraged her to begin creating videos, proved pivotal. Their shared venture into video creation, initiated at his urging, led to a remarkable trajectory. On December 5, 2024, Andre Rebello, known online as Typical Gamer, and Samara Redway broadcast their wedding ceremony live on his YouTube channel.
