Sarah Nurse — Biography
Born on January 4, 1995, Sarah Nurse is a Canadian ice hockey standout. She currently competes professionally with PWHL Toronto in the Professional Women's Hockey League and is a key member of the Canadian women's national ice hockey squad. Her international career began with the national team at the 2015 4 Nations Cup. She further distinguished herself by representing Canada at the 2018 Winter Olympics, earning a silver medal. Her performance shone brightly in the 2022 Olympics, where she netted the inaugural goal in the championship match, helping Canada secure a 3-2 victory over the United States for the gold medal. Before joining the PWHL, Nurse was selected second overall by the Toronto Furies in the 2018 CWHL Draft. Her commitment to the Toronto franchise of the new PWHL was solidified with a three-year contract signed on September 6, 2023.
