About Shiri Appleby
Born on December 7, 1978, Shiri Freda Appleby is an American performer recognized for her work in both film and television. She gained significant recognition for her central portrayal of Liz Parker in the popular television series Roswell. Her cinematic contributions include roles in A Time for Dancing, where she shared the spotlight as one of the two primary female characters, as well as Swimfan, Havoc alongside Anne Hathaway, and Charlie Wilson's War, featuring Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts. In 2008, Appleby became part of the cast for the concluding season of ER, taking on the role of Daria Wade, an intern. This was followed by her starring appearance as Cate Cassidy in the CW drama Life Unexpected, which aired for two seasons. During the summer of 2012, she took on the role of Lucy in the comedic series Dating Rules from My Future Self. Appleby welcomed a daughter in March 2013. She and the child's father, Jon Shook, who is a chef and restaurateur, subsequently married. The couple welcomed their second child, a son, in December 2015.
