A lawyer representing her family stated that prior to her death, she had spoken with her mother and brother, her voice choked with tears. According to the lawyer, Sinead had mentioned an incident involving another crew member on the yacht. The statement did not elaborate on the specifics of this alleged incident. Sinead McNamara, who was 20 years old, was found in a critical state on board the vessel while it was docked in the port of Argostoli, situated on the Greek island of Kefalonia. Her condition was so severe that she passed away during the transfer to a hospital. An official coroner's examination concluded that the cause of her death was hanging.
