About Sofia Milos
Sofia Milos, pronounced 'Mee-loz', is a Swiss-born American actress who gained prominence for her portrayal of Yelina Salas in the CBS television series "CSI: Miami" and for her role as the head of the Camorra crime family, Annalisa Zucca, in HBO’s "The Sopranos." Her extensive resume also includes appearances in "Desire," "The Twilight Zone," "Thieves," "The Ladies Man," "The Love Boat: The Next Wave," "The Secret Lives of Men," "Jane Austen's Mafia!" and "Caroline in the City." Born in Zurich, Switzerland, she has an Italian father and a Greek mother. During her teenage years, she participated in a local beauty pageant and captured first place, subsequently winning contests at provincial, regional, and national levels. Milos studied acting rigorously at the Beverly Hills Playhouse under the guidance of acting coach Milton Katselas. In addition to her acting career, she studied business and economics, is fluent in English, Italian, French, and German, and can engage in basic conversations in Greek and Spanish. She is a Scientologist, sharing this affiliation with approximately 90% of the students from the Beverly Hills Playhouse.
