Sophie Favier — Biography
Born in Lyon, France, on October 5, 1963, Sophie Favier is a notable French figure in television, acting, and music. Her father, of French heritage, was an architect, and her mother was a hairdresser of Spanish descent. Her parents separated when she was seven, and her father passed away when she was fifteen, prompting a family relocation to Caluire-et-Cuire. Sophie also has a brother.
Initially aspiring to be a dancer, Sophie Favier later considered a career in law after earning her baccalaureate. However, a chance encounter in Saint-Tropez with Catherine Corbineau, an associate of Stéphane Collaro, altered her path. This led to her television debut on Collaro's prime-time show. From 1981 to 1983, she was a dancer in the Coco-Girls troupe for Stéphane Collaro's show, Co-Co Boy. During this period, she also posed for artistic nude photography, and in 1983, Lui magazine recognized her as Girl of the Year. While she refutes claims of being dismissed by Collaro in 1984, she states she moved to Canal+ to host Maxitête from 1984 to 1987.
Returning to TF1, Sophie Favier became a commentator for Ciel, mon mardi! from 1988 to 1990, and later for Coucou c'est nous! from 1992 to 1993, both hosted by Christophe Dechavanne. In 1993, she hosted Sophie... sans interdits, a show produced by Dechavanne, though it was canceled after the pilot episode due to his reservations. She was part of the Sacrée Soirée team during the 1993-1994 season, and for the 1994-1995 season, she co-hosted Super mecs with Patrick Sébastien and Sans sans doute from 1995 to 1996. The following year, she co-hosted three special episodes of Capitale d'un soir with Philippe Risoli. In the fall of 1998, she served as a judge on the amateur singing competition Stars ce soir on RTL-TVI.
In 2003, Sophie Favier participated in the reality program Nice People on TF1 and co-hosted Incroyable mais vrai. She presented the EuroMillions lottery drawings from February 2004 until 2011. Concurrently, in 2010 and 2011, she co-hosted Votre voyance with Claude Alexis on Vivolta, alternating with Frédéric Charpentier. In 2012, she was an honorary patron for the "Paranormal vision" exhibition held in Saintes
