About Sophie Thalmann

Sophie Thalmann entered the world on May 7, 1976, in the Lorraine town of Bar-le-Duc. By the age of twenty, in 1996, she had earned the title of Miss Meuse. The subsequent year saw her ascend to the position of Miss Lorraine. Driven by aspiration, Thalmann set her sights on the Miss France 1998 pageant, ultimately claiming that coveted crown, marking her as the 68th individual to hold the esteemed title, succeeding Patricia Spehar. This victory served as the launchpad for her career, beginning with her initial television appearances alongside Michel Drucker and a stint with Radio Bleu Sud Lorrain. In 1999, TF1 brought Thalmann aboard as a co-host for the popular sports program Téléfoot, where she became the show's prominent female face for three years. She also lent her presence to other television ventures, including Y'a pas photo, alongside Laurent Fontaine and Pascal Bataille. Concurrently, her deep affection for horses led her to host segments on the Equidia channel and author several books dedicated to the equestrian world. Sophie Thalmann exchanged vows with Belgian jockey Christophe Soumillon on July 22, 2006. Their family grew to include three children: daughter Charlie, born in September 2005, son Mika, born in November 2008, and son Robin, born in April 2017.
