Stacy Elizabeth Sanches was born on September 4, 1973, in Dallas, Texas, to an Irish-American mother and Mexican-American father. Standing 5'9" tall, she graduated from Lakeview Centennial High School in 1991. Before entering the modeling world, she worked at Hooters for approximately eighteen months and assisted in her father's custom pickup truck enterprise. Her career began when a Playboy scout discovered her during a bikini competition in Hawaii. Though unable to participate immediately, she submitted photographs upon returning to Dallas, which eventually led to her magazine debut.

Sanches achieved recognition as Playboy's Playmate of the Month in March 1995 and was elevated to Playmate of the Year in 1996. Her prominence expanded internationally, earning similar honors in numerous countries including Germany, France, and Italy. Throughout her tenure with Playboy, she contributed to thirty-eight magazine covers, sixteen photosets, and twenty-two videos, frequently appearing in special editions. She hosted the short-lived Playboy television program "Playboy's Really Naked Truth" alongside Playmates Jennifer LeRoy, Shae Marks, Lisa Marie Scott, and Carrie Westcott.

Beyond modeling, Sanches appeared in several independent films and participated in a 2002 Fear Factor episode featuring other former Playmates. She made guest appearances on Dallas and The Howard Stern Show. Her sister Kim Sanches also worked as a model, collaborating with her on various shoots. As recently as 2002, Sanches modeled for the website Mac and Bumble.

Sanches is the mother of a daughter named Mikaela. She has since transitioned away from active modeling and maintains a private lifestyle while occasionally engaging with followers through social media platforms.
