Suzi Simpson — Biography
Susan Athena Singstock, professionally known as Suzi Simpson, entered the world on November 16, 1968, in Athens, Greece. She spent her childhood in a military household that relocated frequently along America's coastal regions, including Maine, Florida, and California, as her father served as a Navy officer while her mother worked as a flight attendant. The oldest among four siblings consisting of two brothers and a sister, she was brought up in the Roman Catholic faith and completed her secondary education at St. Mary's Academy, a girls' preparatory school. During her formative years, she achieved recognition as Homecoming Queen at the Virginia Military Institute in 1983 and earned the title of Miss District of Columbia Teen USA in 1984. While pursuing education in dentistry, she pursued part-time modeling work, which ultimately redirected her toward the entertainment field. Her work with Playboy commenced when she was chosen as Playmate of the Month for January 1992, with photography credited to Stephen Wayda and David Mecey. She subsequently appeared across multiple Playboy Special Editions spanning the early to mid-1990s, including the Book of Lingerie series, Blondes, Brunettes & Redheads, Nudes, Bathing Beauties, Playmates in Paradise, Girls of Summer '94, Beauty Queens, Playmates in Bed, and Celebrating Centerfolds. Her media appearances extended beyond Playboy to include work with Aerosmith's "Love in an Elevator" music video, a Pepsi commercial alongside Michael Jackson, and film roles in St. Elmo's Fire, Men at Work, The Last Boy Scout, Cheerleader Camp, and Enemy Gold. She also guest-starred on Married… with Children and appeared in Rock Star. A notable distinction is her status as the sole Playboy Playmate born in Greece. Standing five feet five inches tall with blonde hair and brown eyes, her physical characteristics include measurements of thirty-six to twenty-three to thirty-four inches. In summer 1991, she married a Marine shortly before her Playmate feature was published. Since the early 2000s, her professional activities have diminished considerably, and she maintains minimal public visibility with no verified social media presence. As of 2025, at age fifty-six, she has largely withdrawn from the entertainment industry.
