About Tai Collins
Hailing from Roanoke, Virginia, Tanquil "Tai" Lisa Collins has cultivated a multifaceted career across modeling, acting, writing, producing, and philanthropy. Her early achievements include being crowned Miss Virginia USA in 1983 and later gracing the pages of Playboy. Collins contributed her talents to the film "Enemy Gold," sharing the screen with Suzi Simpson.
Her connection to the iconic "Baywatch" franchise extended beyond acting; she penned eleven episodes for the series. Within "Baywatch" itself, Collins made on-screen appearances as a background lifeguard, specifically portraying Sharon in the Season 6 episode "The Incident" and in the Season 7 episode "Buried." Additionally, she took on the role of Julie in "Baywatch Nights," a spin-off series, appearing in the Season 2 episode "Terror of the Deep."
Further demonstrating her creative leadership, Collins is recognized as a writer and executive producer for SAF3, a television series bearing similarities to "Baywatch." This project was a collaborative effort with Gregory J. Bonann, who co-created the show with her. Currently, Collins directs her focus toward her philanthropic endeavors as the founder and executive director of the A Chance for Children Foundation. This organization is dedicated to providing essential resources, including education and facilities, to children facing hardship. She continues to collaborate with Gregory Bonann, who serves as the foundation's co-founder and president.
Tai Collins also garnered significant media attention, being introduced as "the woman Senator Charles Robb couldn't resist." This notoriety stemmed from her appearance in the October issue of Playboy, which featured an extensive photo spread and an interview detailing an alleged affair with then-Governor Charles Robb in 1984.
