Tracee Ellis Ross — Biography

Tracee Ellis Ross, born Tracee Joy Silberstein, is a prominent American actress. Her notable television performances include leading roles in the UPN series "Girlfriends," which aired from 2000 to 2008, and the ABC series "Black-ish," running from 2014 to 2022. She is the daughter of legendary actress and Motown artist Diana Ross and Robert Ellis Silberstein. Ross's career began with roles in independent films and various television programs. She also took on hosting duties for Lifetime's pop culture program, "The Dish." Her first significant studio role came in 2000 with Diane Keaton's film "Hanging Up." In the same year, she ventured into comedy as a regular on MTV's "The Lyricist Lounge Show," a hip-hop variety series blending musical performances, dramatic scenes, and comedic sketches.
