Vanessa Gleason graced the pages of Playboy as Miss September 1998, her modeling career ignited by a chance encounter with an agent while she was employed at a shopping center. Her initial significant modeling assignment involved appearing as the Reef Sandals girl in advertisements featured in surf publications. Gleason's international Playboy recognition followed with appearances as Playmate of the Month for Playboy Australia in October 1998, Playboy France in November 1998, Playboy Czech Republic in February 1999, Playboy Croatia in August 1999, and finally, Playboy Germany in July 2000.
