Victoria Lopyreva — Biography

Born Victoria Petrovna Lopyreva on July 26, 1983, in Rostov-on-Don, Soviet Union, she is a multifaceted personality known for her work as a Russian sports television presenter, model, blogger, and as an ambassador for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. She also holds the distinction of being a UN Ambassador to Russia, advocating against discrimination.

Lopyreva's formative years were spent in Rostov-on-Don. Her mother, Irina Lopyreva, a former model with a journalism background, is now an entrepreneur. Victoria's early education included piano studies at the Tchaikovsky Music School, alongside her general schooling. She later pursued higher education at the Rostov State University of Economics (RINH), where she earned a degree in business management.

Her modeling career commenced in 1999 with Image Elite, and that same year, she was crowned winner of the Don Photo Model competition. In 2001, she secured the Rostov Beauty title. The Golden Lightning fashion festival also recognized her in 2001, naming her the best model. Further accolades followed, including winning the Donbass OPEN competition in 2002. Her prominence grew as she was crowned Miss Russia in 2003, after which she relocated to Moscow. By 2005, she had begun her tenure in central television broadcasting.

In her personal life, Lopyreva was romantically involved with singer Vlad Topalov from 2011 to 2012. She also had a relationship with Russian footballer Fyodor Smolov, which concluded in May 2015. In July 2017, an announcement was made regarding her impending wedding to Nikolai Baskov, slated for October 5, 2017, though the ceremony was postponed. Later, in an October 2018 interview, Baskov revealed their relationship was largely superficial, indicating they had limited contact since early 2018. The same report mentioned Lopyreva was five months pregnant. On February 5, 2019, she welcomed a son named Mark Lionel at a Miami clinic in the United States. The child's father is businessman Igor Bulatov, who held the position of First Deputy Prime Minister of the Komi Republic and was previously married to the daughter of construction magnate Samvel Karapetyan.

Lopyreva's modeling achievements include being a finalist in the Elite Model Look competition in 1999 and winning "Super Model of the World" in 2000.
