Born on August 17, 1985, Yu Aoi is a celebrated Japanese talent, recognized for her work as both an actress and a model. Her cinematic journey commenced with her portrayal of Shiori Tsuda in Shunji Iwai's evocative 2001 film, All About Lily Chou-Chou. She went on to inhabit the role of Tetsuko Arisugawa in Iwai's 2004 production, Hana and Alice. Aoi also captivated audiences as Kimiko Tanigawa in the heartwarming hula dancing drama Hula Girls, and as Hagumi Hanamoto in the 2006 live-action rendition of the Honey and Clover manga. In 2012, she took on the character of Megumi Takani in the live-action adaptation of Rurouni Kenshin.
