About Yui Ichikawa
Born in Tokyo, Japan, on February 10, 1986, Yui Ichikawa is a recognized figure in both acting and modeling. Affectionately called Yui-nyan, she initially gained notice for her roles in Japanese television dramas, known as doramas. More recently, Ichikawa has shifted her focus towards a burgeoning film career. Her early work in cinema included a brief appearance in the horror film Ju-on: The Grudge, a role she later expanded upon in its follow-up, Ju-on: The Grudge 2. In a notable recent project, she embodied Nana Komatsu, also known as Hachi, in the cinematic version of the beloved manga, Nana. On December 18, 2006, Ichikawa, alongside her co-star Mika Nakashima, traveled to New York City for the international unveiling of Nana 2 at the IFC Center.
