About Yui Ogura

Hailing from Gunma Prefecture, Yui Ogura is a notable figure in the Japanese entertainment landscape, recognized for her work as a voice actress and singer. Her career began with early contributions, including performing the motion capture for the virtual idol Hatsune Miku in the 2009 game Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA. Ogura was a prominent member of the idol duo YuiKaori, a partnership she shared with Kaori Ishihara. She was also a part of the idol unit StylipS, which featured Ishihara alongside Arisa Noto and Maho Matsunaga, and contributed to the pop group Happy Style Rookies. In 2013, Ogura departed from YuiKaori with Ishihara, with Miku Ito and Moe Toyota subsequently taking their places.

As a voice actress, Ogura has brought a variety of anime characters to life. Her extensive list of roles includes Hinata Hakamada in Ro-Kyu-Bu!, Yunoha Thru in Aquarion Evol, Kokona Aoba in Encouragement of Climb, Tsukiko Tsutsukakushi in The "Hentai" Prince and the Stony Cat, Shiroko Sunaookami in Blue Archive, Manhattan Café in Uma Musume, and March 7th in Honkai Star Rail.

In her solo music career, Ogura experienced chart success. Her single "Raise" served as the ending theme for the anime Campione! and debuted at number 8 on the Oricon chart in 2012. Additionally, various character songs performed by Ogura for the anime roles she voiced have also achieved chart placements.

Ogura's professional journey saw her agency change in 2016 from Sigma Seven to Clare Voice. On March 31, 2017, an announcement was made that YuiKaori would cease activities on June 30 of that year, allowing both Ogura and Ishihara to concentrate on their individual endeavors. YuiKaori officially entered a hiatus on June 30, 2017. In March 2018, Ogura earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Showa Women's University. The beginning of 2019 marked Ogura's return to UP-FRONT under the management of Just Production as a voice actress, an arrangement that concluded on March 31, 2021, with her transferring to Atomic Monkey on April 1, 2021. Later that year, her song "Fightin★Pose" was featured as the initial opening theme for the anime series The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated!.
