Zayn Marie Khan — Biography
Emerging from the illustrious Khan–Hussain lineage of Bollywood, Zayn Marie Khan is the daughter of director Mansoor Khan and Tina Khan. Her sibling is named Pablo Ivaan Khan. The esteemed actor and filmmaker Aamir Khan is her uncle, while actors Imran Khan and Junaid Khan are her cousins. Khan honed her filmmaking skills as an assistant director on the projects Kapoor & Sons, released in 2016, and Secret Superstar in 2017.
Her foray into acting commenced in 2020 with her role in the Netflix crime thriller Mrs. Serial Killer, a film helmed by Shirish Kunder. Unconventionally for a Bollywood actress, Khan undertook action sequences within this film. Following this, she appeared in the 2021 series Feels Like Ishq, portraying Shahana in the fifth installment, "The Interview," directed by Sachin Kundalkar and featuring Neeraj Madhav. This performance garnered positive critical attention. Also in 2021, she starred alongside Taaruk Raina as the central couple in the Netflix series Aryan & Meera. In 2022, Khan's portrayal of Shalu Vartak, the sister of Rajkummar Rao's character, in the Netflix comedy crime thriller Monica, O My Darling, further solidified her presence. The same year also saw Khan featured in the second season of Zoya Akhtar's acclaimed series Made in Heaven. In it, she embodied Sarina Kapoor, a woman on the cusp of marriage grappling with self-doubt stemming from her darker skin tone.
