Alexis Texas — Biography

Alexis Texas entered the world on May 25, 1985, at a military installation in Panama, a location that held the status of a United States territorial enclave during that era.

Her initial venture into adult performance came with a scene alongside Jack Venice for Shane's World's College Amateur Tour, which was filmed in Texas during October 2006. This was followed by work on multiple productions for Bang Bros productions based in Florida. After establishing herself in these early roles, she relocated to Los Angeles, where she began performing in scenes for LA Direct Models starting in March 2007. Belladonna, a veteran adult performer, directed Discovering Alexis Texas, which premiered in February 2008. The same year brought her an accolade when she captured the NightMoves Award for Best New Starlet.

Major publication recognition followed, with Genesis magazine featuring her on its cover in April 2009, followed by Hustler in June 2009 for the publication's 35th anniversary issue. Additional cover appearances in Best of Hustler Magazine and Hustler XXX came that year as well. During 2009, she established her own business entity, Alexis Texas Entertainment, operating as a division of Starlet Entertainment Group, and launched her personal website. Her site earned an XBIZ Award for Performer Site of the Year. Maxim magazine recognized her in 2010 as one of the industry's twelve leading female performers. That same year, she took on an acting credit in Bikini Frankenstein.

In 2011, Texas appeared in the comedy-horror feature Bloodlust Zombies, marking her mainstream film debut in a lead capacity. A 2012 appearance in the music video for Juicy J's "Bandz a Make Her Dance" followed. By 2012, her filmography had grown to encompass more than 400 adult productions. She then agreed to an exclusive one-year arrangement with Adam & Eve that same year. The Big Butt Book, released in 2010, showcased her as its cover figure, with Erotic Review hailing her as "arguably the most celebrated butt in porn nowadays."

Deborah Anderson's 2013 documentary Aroused included Texas among sixteen featured performers. The Hollywood Reporter described her as a "well-known" entertainer within the industry. Through archival material, she appeared in the 2013 romantic comedy Don Jon, directed by and starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt. International Business Times named her among the industry's most recognizable figures in 2014. Best of Hustler Magazine selected her for another cover appearance in 2014.
