Alison Sweeney — Biography

Born on September 19, 1976, Alison Ann Sweeney is a multifaceted American talent known for her work as an actress, reality television presenter, director, and author. Her most recognized role is that of Samantha "Sami" Brady on the long-running NBC daytime drama, Days of Our Lives. Sweeney was a fixture on the show, appearing under contract from January 6, 1993, until October 30, 2014. During her tenure as Sami, she garnered critical acclaim, including a Daytime Emmy Award nomination and four Soap Opera Digest Awards, as well as a Fan Voted Daytime Emmy Award. Beyond the soap opera world, Sweeney also took on the hosting duties for the popular weight-loss competition series, The Biggest Loser, beginning in 2007. She remained with the program until its sixteenth season concluded in 2015.
