Ameesha Patel — Biography

Born Amisha Patel on June 9, 1975, Ameesha Patel is an Indian performer primarily known for her work in Bollywood productions. Her cinematic journey commenced with the highly successful film Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai in 2000. She garnered significant acclaim for her role in Gadar: Ek Prem Katha a year later, a movie that achieved monumental success in Hindi cinema history and garnered her a Filmfare Special Performance Award. While she appeared in numerous films that followed, many did not fare well commercially. Despite this, her portrayal in the 2006 movie Ankahee earned her critical accolades. She later took on a supporting role in the successful venture Bhool Bhulaiyaa in 2007. In the public eye, her romantic involvement with director Vikram Bhatt frequently captured media attention, as did her prolonged estrangement from her parents.
