Ana Moser — Biography

Born on August 14, 1968, Ana Beatriz Moser emerged as a pivotal figure in Brazilian volleyball, instrumental in elevating the national women's team to international prominence during the 1990s. Her distinguished career with the Brazilian squad spanned more than ten years, during which she proudly wore the captain's armband. A significant milestone in her career was securing the team's inaugural Olympic medal, a bronze awarded at the 1996 Atlanta Summer Games. Moser also contributed to Brazil's qualification for the 2000 Sydney Olympics, notably through her participation in the 1999 FIVB World Cup. She decided to step away from professional play not long after those Olympic Games. Her lasting impact on the sport was formally recognized in 2009 with her induction into the International Volleyball Hall of Fame.
