Angela Giarratana — Biography
Angela Giarratana honed her craft at UCLA's School of Theatre, Film and Television, also immersing herself in improvisational comedy at institutions like The Upright Citizens Brigade, The Groundlings, and Second City. Her short film credits include a 2018 appearance in Roadside Steve as Mary, and roles as Lacy in Like It, Sam in Chloe Mary Lydia, Maggie Rosenblatt in D*ck P*ck, and Florence in Pool Party. She marked her television acting debut as Hipster #2 in an episode of the sitcom 2 Broke Girls titled "And The Pearl Necklace." Her television work has since expanded to include roles in Nickelodeon's Danger Force as Josie, Call Your Mother as Sarah, and an appearance as herself in the ABC Discovers: Los Angeles Talent Showcase.
Giarratana is also a familiar face with StarKid Productions. Her introduction to Team StarKid was in the musical Black Friday, where she portrayed Lex Foster, a Toy Zone employee. She revisited the character of Lex in both seasons of Nightmare Time, while also creating new characters for the series. Furthermore, Giarratana originated the role of Grace Chasity in the musical Nerdy Prudes Must Die, a character first introduced in the Nightmare Time season 2 episode "Abstinence Camp," set in the story "Abstinence Camp." Nerdy Prudes Must Die debuted live at the El Portal Theatre in Hollywood from February 16-25, 2023, with a YouTube release following on October 13, 2023. She has also been featured alongside other Team StarKid members in the video Try Not To Laugh Challenge 117 w/ Team StarKid!. In addition to her acting, Giarratana co-hosts the podcast Artists on Artists on Artists on Artists with Patrick McDonald, a writer for Smosh. She is associated with performers Amanda Lehan-Canto, Erin Dougal, Kimmy Jimenez, Olivia Sui, Saige Ryan, Shelby Young, Arasha Lalani, and Courtney Miller.
