Über Angie Everhart
Angela Kay Everhart, known professionally as Angie, is an American actress and onetime fashion model who was born on September 7, 1969, in Akron, Ohio. Her parents were Ginnie, a homemaker, and Robert Everhart, who worked as an engineer. Angie was the fifth of six children, with four brothers older than her and one younger sister. She launched her modeling career at age 15 and completed her secondary education at Firestone High School in Akron in 1987, where she served as both a cheerleader and the school mascot. After participating in an informal photo shoot with her mother that was subsequently submitted to a regional modeling agency, she relocated to Paris that same year. Within twelve months, her face had appeared on the covers of prestigious publications including Elle and Glamour, becoming Glamour's inaugural red-haired cover model. At nineteen, Everhart sustained a serious spinal injury from a horseback riding accident that threatened to derail her modeling ambitions, but rigorous physical therapy enabled her full recovery. Despite early industry skepticism that her red hair would prevent her from achieving top-tier status, she built a successful career with work in numerous publications. Beginning in 1995, she appeared in multiple editions of the annual Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue. After years of publicly refusing to pose unclothed, she reversed this position and appeared nude in Playboy's February 2000 edition. In 2003, she ranked ninety-eighth on FHM's list of the sexiest women.
Everhart transitioned to acting with her film debut in 1993 opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger in Last Action Hero. Her subsequent filmography includes Tales From the Crypt Presents: Bordello of Blood, Denial, Trigger Happy, Gunblast Vodka, Jade, and Executive Target. She progressed into low-budget erotic thrillers and adult-oriented features such as Another 9½ Weeks and Bare Witness. Television work included appearances on Celebrity Mole: Yucatan in 2004, where she served as the hidden saboteur, and The Real Gilligan's Island's second season as one of the ginger-haired contestants, though she departed after sustaining a severe finger laceration requiring surgical intervention. She also served as a panelist on To Tell the Truth during 2000 and 2001.
