Anouk Teeuwe — Biography
Anouk Teeuwe, born Anouk Schemmekes on April 8, 1975, in The Hague, Netherlands, is a Dutch vocalist and songwriter. Her career took flight in 1997 with the acclaimed rock single "Nobody's Wife," paving the way for a string of successful songs on Dutch and Belgian charts. Her debut album, Together Alone, also arrived in 1997. Many of her subsequent albums have reached the pinnacle of the Dutch album charts, with numerous achieving Platinum status and several debuting at number one.
Among her most celebrated singles are "Michel," "It's So Hard," "R U Kiddin' Me," "Girl," "Lost," "Modern World," "Three Days in a Row," "Birds," and "Woman." By 2022, Anouk had released thirteen studio albums, showcasing a blend of anglophonic rock, pop, and adult contemporary styles. One of these recordings was produced in the United States by Glen Ballard. More recently, her musical expression has evolved to include Dutch lyrics with a folkier sensibility, as evidenced in her 2022 album, Trails of Fails.

Stotijn is the father of three of her children: son Benjahmin Kingsley, born April 18, 2002; son Elijah Jeramiah, born December 5, 2003; and daughter Phoenix Ray, born June 3, 2005. Anouk and Remon announced their amicable separation in May 2008. In 2010, Anouk welcomed her fourth child, a son named Jesiah Dox, with her then-boyfriend Robert Coenen. Her son Sion Jethro was born in June 2014, a result of a relationship with Dutch basketball player Seraino Dalgliesh. In June 2016, she gave birth to her sixth child, a daughter named Jelizah Rose, with mixed martial artist and former basketball player Dominique Schemmekes, whom she married in June 2022.
