Aylin Mujica — Biography
Born November 24, 1974, in Havana, Cuba, Aylín Mújica Ricard, widely recognized as Aylín Mújica, is a Cuban talent skilled in acting, modeling, and ballet. Her artistic journey commenced at the tender age of eight. She immersed herself in the study of folk dance, classical ballet, choreography, and music at the prestigious la Escuela Nacional de Ballet. Furthering her education, at eighteen, she enrolled at el Instituto Superior de Artes to pursue dramatic arts, and also studied at la Escuela Internacional de Cine in Havana.
In 1992, Mújica relocated to Mexico to launch her professional endeavors. She initially found work as a model, appearing in television commercials and music videos for artists including Marcelo Cezán, Willy Chirino, and Albita Rodríguez. Her modeling career also saw her posing nude for the Spanish publication Interviú and featuring in a pictorial for H para Hombres. In 2010, previously unreleased nude images of her surfaced, which were taken when she was pregnant.
The actress began her association with Telemundo in 2006. She was presented with the opportunity to portray a villainous character in Pecados ajenos but declined the role, which was subsequently filled by Catherine Siachoque. Mújica later took part in the Telemundo telenovela "Aurora" in 2010. In 2012, she assumed the central antagonist role in Telemundo's Corazón valiente, embodying the character of Fernanda del Castillo, who later adopted the persona of Victoria after faking her own demise. In 2014, she played an antagonistic part opposite Gabriel Porras in the telenovela Los miserables, a production featuring Aracely Arambula and Erik Hayser in its primary roles.
