Bree Masters — Biography
Born on June 24, 1995, Bree Masters is a sprinter hailing from Australia. Prior to her transition to the track in 2019, Masters achieved renown as an Australian beach sprinter, even earning a World Champion title in that discipline. Within a span of less than three years, she secured a place in the 100-meter event at the 2022 Oregon World Athletics Championships. This remarkable achievement marked her as only the third Australian woman in over twenty years to participate in that prestigious World Championship race. Also in 2022, she was chosen to represent Australia at the Birmingham Commonwealth Games, competing in both the 100 meters and the 4x100-meter relay. A significant development occurred on July 14, 2023, when Masters and her Australian Women’s 4x100m Relay Team were upgraded to a bronze medal for the 2022 Commonwealth Games. This elevation followed a ruling that a member of the Nigerian team, which had originally secured the gold medal, had violated anti-doping regulations.
