Briana Evigan — Biography

Born under the California sun in Los Angeles on October 23rd, Briana Evigan embodies a blend of Polish and Italian heritage. Her artistic lineage is evident, being the daughter of actor Greg Evigan and dancer Pam Evigan. She grew up alongside her brother, music producer Jason Evigan, and sister, actress Vanessa Evigan. Before gracing the screen, Evigan, known for her distinctive husky voice, honed her performance skills with her band Moorish Idol, contributing vocals and keyboard talents. Academically, she pursued a degree in speech and communications at Los Angeles Valley College, where her prowess on the speech and debate team established her as a top national competitor. Her lifelong dedication to dance, beginning at age seven, paved the way for her breakout performance. In 2008, she commanded the screen as the lead in the commercially successful film, Step Up 2: The Streets, later revisiting her character in the 2014 sequel, Step Up: All In. Evigan has also taken center stage in cinematic productions such as Sorority Row, S. Darko, and Burning Bright. Her television resume features a prominent role in Season 2 of Robert Rodriguez's From Dusk Till Dawn, a pilot with Jerry Bruckheimer titled Trooper, and a part in TNT's well-regarded drama Longmire. In the independent film realm, she starred in the critically praised festival entry ToY and the film Love is All You Need?, earning her a Best Actor award. Additional acting credits include She Loves Me Not, alongside Cary Elwes; Mothers Day, with Rebecca Demornay; and Rites of Passage, featuring Wes Bentley and Christian Slater. Most recently, in October 2023, Evigan exchanged vows with Australian anti-poaching activist Damien Mander. The couple welcomed their son in August 2022.
