Carré Alexandra Otis entered the world on September 28, 1968, in San Francisco, California. Her father, James Otis, was an attorney, and her mother, Carol Otis, worked as a fundraiser. Growing up in Marin County, California, Carré was part of a middle-class family alongside her older sister, Chrisse, and brother, Jordan.
