Chanel Iman — Biography

Chanel Iman Robinson has established herself as a prominent American model, achieving the prestigious status of a Victoria's Secret Angel. Her significant contributions to the fashion industry were recognized by Vogue Paris, which named her among the top 30 models of the 2000s.

Iman's modeling journey began at the young age of 12 in Los Angeles, California, where she started her career as a child model with Ford Models. By 2006, she had moved to New York and secured third place in Ford's Supermodel of the World competition. This success led to her signing with the agency shortly thereafter.

Her portfolio boasts appearances in numerous high-profile publications, including editions of Allure, Dubai, American, and Ukrainian Harper's Bazaar, V, i-D, Pop, Italian, British, and Indonesian Elle, Italian Vanity Fair, and various international Vogue editions. Iman graced the cover of Teen Vogue in February and July of 2007, alongside Karlie Kloss and Ali Michael, in photographs taken by Patrick Demarchelier.
