Über Connie Kreski

Connie Kreski, born Constance Joanna Kornacki on September 19, 1946, in Wyandotte, Michigan, was an accomplished American model and actress. She gained fame as Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month in January 1968 and was honored as Playmate of the Year in 1969. Kreski passed away at her home in Beverly Hills on March 21, 1995, due to complications from a blocked carotid artery at the age of 48.

Her Playmate biography reflects her adventurous spirit, as she expressed a strong desire to explore the world and experience everything it had to offer. Connie described herself as "just a girl who wants to live life to the hilt for the next ten years or so and afterward settle down to raise a family." However, it was a while before she found a long-term partner. Traveling was one of her greatest passions, and she particularly loved London. Part of her earnings from being a Playmate financed a trip to the city, where she serendipitously encountered actor Anthony Newley in an elevator at the Playboy Club on Park Lane. This meeting led to her casting as the lead character, Mercy, in Newley's directorial project, Can Hieronymus Merkin Ever Forget Mercy Humppe and Find True Happiness? The film featured Newley’s then-wife, Joan Collins, in the role of Polyester Poontang.

Beyond this role, Connie appeared in other films, including Black Bird, a parody of The Maltese Falcon. She later collaborated with Playboy as a stylist and was featured in The Playmate Book, where she provided a makeover for Miss June 1981, Cathy Larmouth, during her photo session. In 1972, Connie posed alongside James Caan in a Playboy fashion feature focused on men's jewelry titled “So It's a Bracelet, What's It to Ya?” She also enjoyed a romantic relationship with Caan for a period, although it was with Louis A. Edelman that she ultimately chose to settle down.
