Cristy Thom, born on September 8, 1971, in Los Angeles, California, is recognized as an American realist painter, nude model, and actress, also known by the name Li-Wah Thom. Following her parents' divorce when she was just four years old, Thom was raised by her mother. At the age of fifteen, she made the decision to leave high school and cohabitate with her boyfriend, who ran an auto-parts business in the San Fernando Valley. In February 1991, Thom was honored as Playboy's Playmate of the Month, a recognition that led her to feature in various Playboy videos after she submitted her photographs to the magazine. Her centerfold was taken by renowned photographer Arny Freytag. Additionally, in 1992, she earned the title of Playmate of the Year for the Dutch edition of Playboy. Her modeling achievements extended internationally as she was named Playmate of the Month for Playboy Australia in March 1991, Playboy Hungary in March 1991, Playboy Italy in May 1991, Playboy Brazil in May 1991, and Playboy Germany in June 1991.
