Elspeth Hanson — Biography

Born on May 12, 1986, Elspeth Hanson is the violist in the celebrated all-female string ensemble, Bond. She stepped into this role in 2008, taking the place of original member Haylie Ecker. Prior to her tenure with Bond, Hanson participated in a notable performance at the 2008 Summer Olympics Closing Ceremony. This event, which marked the handover to London for the 2012 Games, saw her share the stage with prominent figures including Jimmy Page, Leona Lewis, and David Beckham. Around the same period, she also performed at the Paralympics Closing Ceremony. In 2009, the automotive company Peugeot enlisted Bond to create a recording of Vivaldi's "Four Seasons," intended for an advertisement promoting their 308CC model. These engagements represented some of Hanson's earliest contributions as part of the quartet.
