Ester Cordet — Biography
Ester Cordet, born on the last day of 1946 in Panama, achieved prominence as Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month for its October 1974 edition. Richard Fegley was the photographer responsible for her memorable centerfold. Beyond her Playboy feature, Cordet also graced the cover of the Ohio Players' 1975 album, "Honey." During the time of her photoshoot and the magazine's publication, she resided in San Diego and worked as a flight attendant for Pacific Southwest Airlines. It was at a Playboy Mansion gathering that she encountered her future husband, the writer Robert Ringer. When the October issue was released, and throughout the photo sessions for it, Esther Cordet, whose birth name was Esther Sgobba, was already married. Her husband, who made a background appearance in one of the photographs, was identified in the caption as a "friend." At that time, she was also a mother to a four-year-old son.
