Genelle Williams — Biography

Born on February 18, 1984, Genelle Williams is a Canadian performer who has made her mark through several memorable characters. Audiences likely recognize her as Kim Carlisle from the show Radio Free Roscoe, or as DJ in The Latest Buzz. She also brought to life the character of Leena, an innkeeper, in the Syfy series Warehouse 13.

Williams's journey into professional acting began in her high school days. A teacher witnessed her talent in a musical production and subsequently connected her with a talent agent. Her professional debut of note came on the Family channel with Radio Free Roscoe, a program that ran from 2002 to 2004. During this time, specifically in 2003, she took on the role of Kim Carlisle, a disc jockey for "Cougar Radio" and a romantic interest for the character played by Robert McGrath. Over a span of three years, Williams also contributed to the widely watched CTV series Degrassi: The Next Generation, appearing in various parts.

Following a pause in her professional endeavors, Williams returned to television on another Family channel program, The Latest Buzz. In this series, she portrayed Diane Jeffreys, more commonly known as "DJ," who served as the editor and a guiding figure for the young writers at Teen Buzz magazine. Her next significant role was as Leena on the Syfy network's Warehouse 13. She was a consistent presence on the show from its inception in July 2009, continuing until the middle of its fourth season in October 2012. In 2014, Williams was also featured in Lifetime's production, The Lottery. Additionally, she has held recurring roles in the series Remedy and Bitten.
