Hailing from Pennsylvania and rooted in her Lebanese Maronite Catholic heritage, Gracie Canaan pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Industrial Design at the Rhode Island School of Design, completing her studies there between 2009 and 2013. Her professional journey began in the design field. She served as an assistant industrial designer at Anthropologie from 2013 to 2015, then shifted to surface and pattern design at Sango Ceramics in Indonesia. Following this, she held the role of associate industrial designer at Macy's until 2018, before continuing in packaging and product design with West Elm and Burrow until 2021.
