Born November 29, 1980, Janina Gavankar is a multi-talented American artist known for her work in acting and music. Her musical education is extensive, encompassing training as a pianist, singer, and orchestral percussionist. She honed her acting skills at the University of Illinois Chicago, where she pursued a degree in theatre. Audiences have seen her portray a variety of characters, including Eva "Papi" Torres in Showtime's "The L Word," Shiva in "The League," Leigh Turner in "The Gates," Luna Garza in HBO's "True Blood," McKenna Hall in The CW's "Arrow," and Diana Thomas on FOX's "Sleepy Hollow."
