Janine Lindemulder entered the world on November 14, 1968, in La Mirada, California. Growing up in suburban Southern California, she distinguished herself as a high school cheerleader at La Habra High School while maintaining strong academics, finishing her secondary education ahead of schedule at just sixteen years old. Following graduation, she took on work as a bank teller and pursued a modeling career, participating in local fashion shows and beauty competitions. Her heritage encompasses Dutch, French, German, and Native American ancestry, and she maintains American citizenship. Using the professional name Janine Lindemulder or simply Janine, she occasionally appeared under the name Janine Lindemuller in her earliest assignments. Her career in adult entertainment commenced in 1987 when she was eighteen, beginning as a softcore model following discovery by a Penthouse representative. She received the honor of Penthouse Pet of the Month in December 1987 and came close to winning Pet of the Year in 1989. Moving into adult films five years later at age twenty-three, she joined Vivid Entertainment under an exclusive agreement. Throughout her professional tenure, she maintained contracts with Vivid Entertainment from 1992 to 1999 and again from 2004 to 2007, while also collaborating with Digital Playground, Wicked Pictures, and Adam & Eve.
