Born on May 19, 1963, Jeanne Basone carved out a multi-faceted career as a professional wrestler, actress, model, and stuntwoman. She gained significant recognition by adopting the moniker "Hollywood" within the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling (GLOW) promotion, established by David McLane. Basone was a prominent figure throughout GLOW's four seasons and its initial pilot episode, performing under her distinctive ring name. According to GLOW founder David McLane, Basone was the very first individual hired for the groundbreaking women's wrestling venture.
For a period between 1986 and 1988, Hollywood often teamed up with Vine, a character brought to life by Janet Bowers. Following Vine's departure from GLOW, Broadway Rose, who was later portrayed by Andrea Janell, stepped in as Hollywood's new tag team partner. Beyond the wrestling ring, Basone also lent her talents to the gaming world, portraying the character Jane in the interactive title Plumbers Don't Wear Ties, released for the 3DO home console. Her modeling career included a notable appearance, posing nude for the December 1989 issue of Playboy magazine.
