Jenny McCarthy — Biography

Jennifer Ann McCarthy-Wahlberg, known professionally as Jenny McCarthy, is an American entertainer, model, and media personality. She launched her professional journey in 1993 by working as a model for Playboy magazine, eventually earning recognition as their Playmate of the Year. Following this, McCarthy transitioned into entertainment, securing a position as a co-host for the MTV game show Singled Out between 1995 and 1997. She then starred in her own television series Jenny, which aired from 1997 to 1998, and appeared in various films including BASEketball in 1998, Scream 3 in 2000, Dirty Love in 2005, John Tucker Must Die in 2006, and Santa Baby also in 2006. In 2013, McCarthy launched The Jenny McCarthy Show, her own talk program, and joined the roster of hosts on ABC's daytime talk show The View, remaining with the program through 2014. Beginning in 2019, McCarthy has served as a panelist on the Fox program The Masked Singer, which features musical competition elements. As of May 2024, McCarthy maintains a substantial social media presence with approximately 1.7 million Instagram followers and roughly 2.0 million TikTok followers. Her modeling career included recognition as Playmate of the Month for Playboy Spain in December 1993, Playboy Czech Republic in September 1994, and Playboy Brazil in February 1998.
