Jo Guest — Biography
Joanne Guest, commonly referred to as Jo Guest, was born on February 22, 1972, in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, England. She spent her childhood on Poplar Drive in the village of Glapwell. With English roots, she attended the now-defunct Heath School from 1963 to 1991 and pursued studies in Hotel Management at Chesterfield College. During this time, she also worked as a magician’s assistant and took a catering course. In the 1990s, a persistent rumor circulated that Guest was the assistant to Tommy Cooper during his infamous on-stage collapse from a heart attack in 1984. However, as the internet gained prominence in the early 2000s and old television shows resurfaced online, it became evident that this speculation was unfounded, given that she would have been only 12 years old at the time of the incident.
Jo’s entry into modeling began after she responded to a local advertisement. Initially, when she arrived at the modeling agency with her medium-length dark brown hair, she was left waiting in the lobby, which prompted her to leave after 20 minutes. Determined, she returned the next day with blonde hair, which led to her being quickly ushered in for a meeting and a photo shoot with a photographer who distributed her images to various men's magazines across the UK. Professionally known as Jo Guest, she was also featured under aliases like Hollie Dahlberg and Joanne Guest in select publications. She gained notoriety as a Page 3 girl in The Sun from 1993 to 1998 and was a presence in numerous British “top shelf” magazines, including Mayfair, Men Only, Men's World, Escort, Razzle, and Whitehouse. Her cover for Loaded was famously projected onto the Houses of Parliament in May 1998, and she appeared in the Playboy video Shagalicious British Babes.
From 2000 onwards, Jo hosted several shows on Granada’s Men and Motors channel, such as Jo Guest’s Private Parts (1998), Undressed with Guest (1999), Jo Guest in Jamaica (2000), Jo Guest’s Capital Exposed (2002), The Steam Room (2004), and Jo Guest UK Exposed (2004), often featuring themes of an erotic nature. Additionally, she made a cameo appearance in the 1995 music video for Blur's “Country House,” played a role in the PC game Jo Guest in the Milk Round (1994), and participated in the third series of I’m Famous and Frightened! (2004).
Jo also established an interactive website with Men’s World magazine in 1993, serving as one of the early digital expansions of her brand, and contributed to Interactive Girls, an erotic PC magazine. Her engaging advice columns, including a weekly "agony babe" feature in the Daily Star from November 1998 to March 2000 and a monthly column in Front magazine starting June 200
